Applying for Grants
The 2023 grant application cycle is now closed.

Marlborough nonprofits and non-profit orgaizations in surrounding communities that directly benefit the Marlbrough community seeking financial support for programs and activities to directly benefit the Marlborough community are invited to apply for up to $ 6,000 for these programs and activities. The Board of Trustees is encouraging nonprofit applicants to look hard at coming up with new challenging, innovative ideas and programs for funding.

Each on-line grant application must include the following:

• The target beneficiaries.
• The goal(s) of the program / activity.
• The amount being requested.
• A brief explanation of any other funding sources.

Applicants must also include proof of their 501(c)(3) / nonprofit status (even for applicants who have previously submitted their proof).

Trustees will screen applications and identify those most aligned with the spirit of the trust for follow-up. Potential recipients may be requested to submit project / activity budgets and copies of 990 forms and the board of directors /leadership information, plus agree to an interview by the trustees if requested. Awards were announced in November, 2023 and awarded in December, 2023.

Grant recipients will be required to submit an "Impact Summary Statement" from the grant by July 1, 2024, if the applicant wants to be eligible to submit a 2024 Brigham Family Trust application. Please refer to this website starting May 1, 2024, to submit the statement.
